Open Question: I want to buy a Corvette?
Posted by adminFeb 9
I want to buy a Corvette but I have a few questions/stipulations:
1)It needs to be able to have classic car insurance(no way in hell a 20 year old is going to pay full price on a vette, dont worry until im 25 ill put it under my dads name so no issues with insurance)
2) Between the years 1985-1990, for price and classic car insurance rates. What year is the best of that span?
3) Do any specific years have better gas mileage, or faster acceleration, or any special characteristics that make that year stand out?
4)I have a 1963 Corvair that I got bored with because it is much slower than i expected it to be, and yes i expected it to be slow. What kind of money can I get for the Corvair? consider the condition being that it needs restoring(paint, interior) but runs very well since I only put money into the engine.
Thanks, I really would appreciate as much help with this as possible. And if you know anyone in the New York (USA) area looking for a Corvair, or willing to trade a vette, just message me!
The insurance issue never came up before. When we insured the Corvair we had asked about a 20 year old as another driver and they just shrugged it off and said not to worry as long as it is in my Dad’s name. I did my homework on everything before starting this hobby.
