When it comes down to the very basics, engines aren’t that complicated. Combustion creates energy that is exerted through propulsion. Not to complex. But when you add in other factors, like the amount of pistons, turbochargers, etc. I bet things could start to get a little more complicated. So how can I know if a car and engine are compatible? Outside of the obvious one that an engine could be to big, what else do I need to look for? What parts could conflict with certain engines? Also, this is specifically for vintage cars, made before 1980. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
