Open Question: Please i need advice! About landlord wanting to tow my car without any cause!! Can he do this?
Author: adminMay 20
I have a classic car sitting in my front lawn(on a concrete slab) covered my a tarp unless my husband is working on restoring it & has been so for the past 3 years were my husband & i rent our home. Right now, there is a civil law suite going on because of code violations the landlord has no taking care of since we brought it to his attention, but now he is saying that I have to remove our car or he will have it towed at owners expense. the car has a tag so can he legal do that?? when we ask him for the code violation he still and hasn’t given it to us & we have no lease stating otherwise as well. thanks you your answer!! we live in FL if this helps
well i appreciate all the mature answers! I agree that the landlord is doing this in retaliation against my husband & I. the landlord knew my husband was a car guy and when we 1st moved in dec of 2009, he said it was ok to have cars stored here. The car is tag so I see it unlikely that he can have it towed, and if he can shouldn’t he have to at least show me a notaries paper saying when i have to have the car removed or can i put the car behind the fence with a lock since its our side and will not be seen by anyone? And to add 1 more detail, if the city is finally coming down (highly doubt it) i would have received something from the city or the police not a typed letter from the landlord that lives next door, our car is not the only car sitting on this street!!! Thanks
*** in 3 years of living here and the 8 months the landlord has been living next door to us NOT 1 complaint about the car being here, not from him the city or any other person. Everyone always stops to see if the car is for sale!!
Flower - its my right as a tenant to have things fixed in my house according the fl law. He started the process of eviction 1 day after we gave him rent! I think i have ever right to do what I have to protect my family from a slum lord who wants to move in my side of the house bc he got his gf pregnant and her entire family moved in to help her at 10 weeks pregnant pathetic. Our side is bigger and a lot nicer. we been working with him about getting these fixed bc he has not have had the money but now he is threatening to kick us out when we pay him!! I don’t think he has any rights, I do!

Resolved Question: 1968 ford torino gt fastback insurance rates ~ 10 pts!!?

I was recently doing some quotes…I keep getting around $981*ish 6 month premium. I don’t know, it’s not that I couldn’t afford that in the future it’s that I’m hoping I can get it a bit cheaper…being that I drive 4 miles to school, will only drive it less then 2500 miles a year! 5 days a week. I don’t qualify for hagerty, or any of those classic car Insurance Co.’s. I’m not sure, I guess if i talked to a real agent you think it’d decrease a bit? Because I have a junk car that I’ll be using for winter and really cold days, my dads car :p. By the way the insurance company was PROGRESSIVE. I tried many other, they where all higher. Why was it when I tried other cars they skyrocketed past $900, like seriously, I tried a 1996 Honda it went from $900 to $1100!? I’m not sure if it’s a messed up quote or what, haha.
P.S. all this from it going from X amount to X amount that’s all 6 month not 1 month.
Voting Question: Installing Airbags into a Classic Car?

So I’ve absolutely fallen in love with a finished 1964 Nash Cosmopolitan and my parents are completely against the idea since it’s not safe enough, and I was wondering if there was anyway to make it safer? I’d love to own a classic car, there’s just something about them that makes them a thousand times more desirable than cars you can get today.
