I need songs i can play in a bar that will be crowd pleasers but at the same time wont stray from my metal and hard rock roots. influences for the music i play are shinedown, seether, breaking benjamin, chevelle etc… i dont want to play straight party rock< but i also want to make money lol.
i listen to bands like chevelle, a day to remember, august burns read etc, anyway somebody recently gave me a led zeppelin cd because i had never listened to them. Led zeppelin is classified as heavy but when i compare it to the bands i listen to it sounds more like garage rock (reminds me of the old kings of leon), anyway does this mean the meaning of metal changed or was led zeppelin like heavy COMPARED to other bands back in the day. I really dont care about labels but it makes me a little confused when people call it heavy
